I've been feeling nostalgic of late. Moving to a new office made me reminisce of my first office. It was located in one of the most beautiful buildings in the city centre of Schiedam. The former formal home of the Nolet family, one of the wealthiest jenever burner families in the 17th century. They are one of the mayor producers of jenever to this very day. Needless to say the décor was pretty opulent. People tended to be quite impressed when I invited them to our 'blue' conference room. The view was pretty good as well, overlooking the 'Lange Haven' canal. During my first week I got to wave at 'Sinterklaas' passing by in his boat :).
I still miss the place but I'm pretty chuffed with my new spot overlooking the oldest city park of the Netherlands, the Plantage. My Gnome Home and Starry Rose Garden are located here as well.
Remembering good times at my first office at the 'Lange Haven'.
